Elma leads the design side of BSD with a simple belief: a beautiful home should feel like “you”, without giving “you” insanity. As Co-Founder and Director of Design, she helps guide the choices that give each project its mood, rhythm, and sense of personalization.

With a B.F.A. in Interior Design (WU) and Interior Design Certification (FIDM), Elma began as a young designer at the prestigious Windsor Smith. And when Boris first started BSD, Elma brought her experience and her love for meaningful, personalized projects to fruition at BSD.

At BSD, Elma guides interiors, space planning, material palettes, finish selections, client presentations, design development, furniture coordination, lighting direction, and everything in between. She helps organize inspiration into a cohesive direction, then works with the construction team to make sure the design intent stays clear as the project moves from drawings and samples into the field.
